When we were planning this campaign, Paul and I had hoped to achieve 300 - 400 unique visitors on Day 1, and our best case scenario would be 50 emails of support, and 5 new organizers.

I was floored at the response that this initiative received yesterday from the grassroots right across Ontario. We achieved our site traffic goals by 9:00am! I want to specifically thank www.nationalnewswatch.com for helping us get the ball rolling. Newswatch was the first to link to our site. Getting the word out so effectively would not have been possible without them.

Day 1 Summary: The party is strong, extremely feisty and the membership will be heard.

One of the first messages we heard from the grassroots was, “why are only 4 potential leadership contenders being promoted on our site?” Many people wanted to see other members of the Caucus also promoted. We’ve added a few more names to the list for your consideration.

We are asking all supporters to ensure that their membership is up to date for the 2008 convention. Become involved at the local level to ensure that either you become a delegate to the convention or elect delegates that will vote for a Leadership Review. Finally, please forward this site to your contact lists so that we can renew expired members or sign up new members who will support this campaign, now and at the convention in February 2008.

Any information that you have on your local AGM or Delegate Selection Meeting would also be beneficial to others in your area that currently do not have details. I will post the information (confidentially) on our calendar for others to see.

I want to thank everyone for the messages of support and a special thanks to those who have also contributed financially to this effort.

For all the folks that joined the team to become grassroots organizers, you will be contacted today, tomorrow and over the next several days. Due to the tremendous amount of support that we have received thus far, we need to make some adjustments so that we can promptly respond to your questions/comments and suggestions.
