The following was posted on the Together With Tory website. I guess the opposition missed the part in the PCPO constitution regarding an automatic Leadership Review. Apparently they seem to have an issue with the "grassroots" thrust of our campaign. By their definition, no one associated with this campaign is grassroots.

In a homage to the infamous "Where's Waldo", we are launching "Where's John Tory?".
The new Queen's Park Insider , distributed by the Caucus, lists where John Tory's been over the last week, but not where he's headed.
"Where’s John This Week?
This week John Tory was in Toronto, Mississauga, Burlington, Haldimand-Norfolk, Oxford, Stratford, and Halton.
We think it's important for grassroots members to be informed where John Tory's going to be so that you may attend.
As with the DSM meetings, we're looking for your assistance in finding John Tory. As you receive notice of a John Tory meeting in your riding, please post the details here.

Mistakes made him stronger: PC leader |

Tory lost his seat in the Oct. 10 election losing the Don Valley West riding, leaving him on the outside of Queen's Park looking in, a position he now says has been a 'blessing'.
"While it wasn't my plan to lose in the last election, it has allowed me the time to travel the province and talk to folks," he said, adding he considers much of the time spent in the Ontario Legislature to be "unproductive".
"It's unfortunate but I think anyone who is being honest with themselves would admit it," he said.
"So I think it is a bit of a blessing that I have been able to travel across the province and come to events like this and talk to people, it has given me time to come out and talk to real people about real issues."
During those talks Tory said he is talking to people about rebuilding the Conservative platform, and providing long-term beneficial policies to helping all Ontarians.
"The Liberal government has consistently turned its back on that part (rural) of the province," he said.
"They may throw some money at them once in a while, but we need a a consistent, fair way of treating people."
Tory said the party had policies that would have strengthened the province and put Ontario on more solid footing, but people never heard about them.

Had a great week, meeting many YES campaigners across Ontario. I was in London on the morning of the 2nd to meet with a motivated group of Organizers. Went down to the Delta Armouries to finalize the booking of 50 rooms for those last minute Delegates that will need a place to stay. I also made a trip over to the Convention Centre for planning purposes – more on that later!
After London, I was off to Brantford, then St. Catherines, Burlington and ended up in Mississauga for the night.
On the 3rd, I was off to Sudbury. Last time I was in Sudbury was 15 years ago in the summer, this time it was winter, there was a storm and cell phone reception was a bit shoddy. Met with another YES campaigner and everything is falling into place there.
Off to North Bay, more snow, very dark, but got there in one piece. Met a few more Organizers and am certain that we will have a great turnout.
In the morning, I was off to Ottawa. Arrived in Ottawa and found more snow. I met with our Ottawa Regional Organizer, we covered some issues and began touching base with over 40 YES campaign organizers and supporters. Had a great steak for dinner, met with the troops and had a great night.

Numbers Matter or an Honest Comparison between Tory, Harris, Harper, and McGuinty |
|
Written by Brendan McLaughlin

Many supporters of the No side are saying that Mike Harris, Dalton McGuinty, and Stephen Harper all got second chances to fight a general election as leader, so John Tory should too. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending or your point of view, Tory's results are not comparable to any of the three aforementioned leaders.
Tory had more than ample prep time for the recent election - he was leader for over three years before election day. Conversely, Mike Harris and Stephen Harper were only leaders for 117 days and 100 days respectively before the election. Both of these leaders still managed to improve more than Tory however. Dalton McGuinty's prep time was closer to Tory's, although still a few months less, but he managed to raise his party's pop. vote by 9% over 1995 and the percentage of seats in legislature by 10% in an election no one expected the Liberals to win.
Simply put - Tory had the longest prep time and the worst results.
Numbers matter and the charts below show that our leadership matters too.
We need a leader who can get results. |

Just a few housekeeping items this morning. Some people may not have been able to access the site for a while yesterday. In the early morning, someone was attempting multiple votes in the survey. In an effort to ban this person's IP address from accessing the site, we were a little too wide ranging. The poll is what it is - a web poll. It is only meant as a gauge of support of those visiting the site. That being said, we don't want it abused by anyone.
Nick is still on the road today, meeting with more organizers in the Southwest region. The last several days have been very successful in building the organization throughout the Southwest and GTA regions.
We will be releasing an "80 Minus One" campaign page today with various tools for you to help spread the word.
One item has come up in numerous emails and phone call from members, that being the "8 not 12" letter campaign. While the latest letter mentions our site, the DraftALeader.com effort is in no way aligned with this campaign. We decided from day one to be upfront about who we are and what we are doing. This will continue to be our operating method until the convention is concluded.
Keep the emails and comments coming. It's only with your support and encouragement that we will succeed. |

As I mentioned in my Video Blog yesterday, I'm off to London today to meet with our regional organizer for the Southwest along with various Riding Captains. Wednesday I'll be in the 416/905 area for more Riding Captain meetings. We'll be posting some literature on the site soon that you can download, email or print and distribute to members in your riding.
We had a great response to the Video Blog yesterday. There are plans for more in the future. Fear not, I heard from many people about the length of the blog. Next one will be short and sweet.
As a matter of fact, make sure you check in later this evening or early tomorrow morning for our latest video. All those voting for shorter will be very pleased. |
